CURRICULUM

Visit our entering K, entering Grades 1-2 and entering Grades 3-6 pages to learn more about programming for each grade group

All Wonder Kids campers participate in ART, SCIENCE and OUTDOOR ADVENTURE rotations daily. We highlight these three activities because they are essential to a child’s healthy development, and summer provides a great opportunity for kids to spend more time engaged in them. Our program also aims to develop self-confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, brainstorming, social awareness and - critical to the learning process - a sense of wonder. Our activities are set up to inspire children to ask for themselves “how do you do that?” and then to facilitate their ability to “go find out!”

SCIENCE INSPIRATION
The TECH MUSEUM OF INNOVATION, along with several other world-class museums, provides Wonder Kids with the inspiration for many of its innovative educational activities. Small groups of campers work together to come up with hands-on solutions to fun and exciting science missions each week.

ART INSPIRATION
Wonder Kids’ art program introduces campers to famous artists and art movements by hands-on work in the skills, styles and particular media of great artists.

OUTDOOR INSPIRATION
Wonder Kids’ outdoor program gets kids moving with a balance of team-building outdoor games and craft activities. KLUTZ materials are a favorite, along with fun games that appeal to both the athletic and non-athletic. Water ball, the Jello Olympics, human knots and many other activities encourage kids to be active, to cooperate in friendly teams and to have a great time.
